Preventative Care
Preventative medicine can save your companion from sickness, unwanted behavior, surgery and in extreme cases, euthanasia. Our goal is to offer education and services regarding management techniques, vaccinations, and behavioral modifications.
Medicine
Diagnosis of an illness is the first step in administering the proper treatment. At our hospital, laboratory information is supplemented by an outside full service laboratory. Physical exam, laboratory interpretation coupled with radiographs, EKG, and specialist performing ultrasound studies lead to a diagnosis which will be the basis for a treatment plan.
Dentistry
Dental health is as important to our companion animals as to ourselves. Many animals can have loss of appetite or other signs from tartar and gingivitis, and this condition can progress to periodontal disease. We offer dental chews, toothpaste and toothbrushes for our pets as a means of prevention. If your pet should develop any dental problems, our practice is fully equipped to provide dental prophylaxis, dental radiographs, tooth extraction and root canals.
Surgery
We provide our patients with the best possible surgical care. Pre-anesthetic testing and extensive monitoring of anesthetized patients is the standard approach to patient safety during surgical procedures. Consideration for the comfort and pain relief of our patients is paramount.
Surgical procedures are scheduled on Monday and Thursday mornings. On the day of the procedure patients are brought in before 9 am and are released after 3 Pm, unless prior arrangements are made. We recommend scheduling procedures in advance. Exceptions are made for patients in need.
Post Surgery Care
Upon recovery from surgery or procedures, the patient is released to the owner with detailed home care instructions or transferred to an appropriate veterinary nursing facility.
Fees
Payment is due after professional services are rendered. Estimates are available for routine exams, blood work, surgical procedures or other veterinary services.
