New Facility
We are tremendously excited about our new hospital
at 2651 Soquel Avenue, Santa Cruz, Ca., 95062. Conception
started in July 2002, construction started in 2005
and we are finally open as of May 30,2006.
This is an artist's depiction of our hospital back in 2003.

Construction during the Summer of 2005.

Animal Hospital of Soquel has proudly been serving the community since 1969 and has been a member
of the American Animal Hospital Association since 1971.
Our new facility's architectural style blends well with our surroundings and
the city of Santa Cruz. We are especially pleased with our landscaping, including a water feature.
As you walk through the atrium, you enter the spacious lobby. The lighting is natural with
the aid of skylights. With comfortable seating and earth tones throughout, it gives one the feeling
of home. We even have a "play area" for the kids, complete with puzzles, coloring books, and movies.
We have four exam rooms, two for smaller animals, including some very small
ones like hamsters and rabbits, and two for our
larger four legged friends. We have a video otoscope
in the exam rooms so that our clients can visualize
the ear canals of their pets with the doctors. We
also have a behavior consultation room with a remote
camera and an acupuncture suite.
Our pharmacy is conveniently located near exam rooms and the treatment area
with glass cabinets on both sides for easier access
to medications.
Our treatment area also has skylights to supply natural light. We have two
wet/dry treatment tables attached to towers with pass through drawers accessible
from either side of the tables.
We have a complete laboratory including full in house blood testing, fecal and
heartworm testing.
We offer complete dental services, including dental x-rays, root canals,
and restorative work, in addition to routine dental cleanings.
We offer two full surgery suites with state of the art equipment. All of our
anesthesia cases are monitored with ECG, blood pressure,
pulse oximetery, and CO2, and respiratory monitors.
We also have a laser surgery unit that allows us
to perform surgeries with much less tissue trauma,
faster recovery and less pain.
Our hospital also has a conference room for professional meetings in the community.
In addition to the medical aspect of our facility, we have added an overnight
room with full bath for when we extend our hours
or for our support staff to take a break with full
kitchen, break room and outside patio.
